Hill kicks starts his 2012 at AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL
‘Raring to go’ was how 17 year-old Jake Hill described his feelings before taking the wheel of Tollbar Racing’s Ginetta Junior in the high-profile Live Action Arena this coming Thursday and Friday (12th & 13th Jan) as part of a Ginetta Junior display.
As always Ginetta Cars will have a strong presence at the world’s most significant motorsport show, and Jake will drive a Ginetta G40 Junior on the ‘Trade’ days whilst 2011 Junior driver Will Foster will take over driving duties over the weekend.
“It’s been a long time since I was in a Junior – I did a test day at Oulton Park last May in Will’s car – but since I stepped out of my G50 at Silverstone in October after Winning the final race I haven’t been in a racing car so I can’t wait. I’ve been to watch the Live Action show every year and always wanted to have a go so really can’t wait. I hope to be driving in the ‘Racing 4 Charity’ Celebrity Kart race again this year and am meeting with a few people to discuss my 2012 racing plans”
Jake and his father Simon will attend the show to meet with various people to discuss his 2012 plans which involve either racing in the Ginetta GT Supercup in a Ginetta G55, or possibly a move to racing GT cars either in the UK or Europe.
“As always it all comes down to what budget’s are available. We are talking to lots of people but the main thing is to raise a decent budget because last season was so incredible tough, literally doing deals on the morning of the race! I’ve gone even greyer as a result but mainly it’s tough for Jake to focus on the job when he doesn’t even know if he’s racing or not” smiled Simon.
Jake as always though was extremely grateful to Mike and Mary at Tollbar Racing for the chance to get him driving again.
“I’m really lucky and very grateful” said Jake.
Simon has a comprehensive proposal explaining Jake’s plans should you or any of your circle of contacts be interested in finding out more.
